Clees Prime & Country

The Prime & Country brand has recently been launched to enable both Prime and Country properties to benefit from specialist niche marketing.

Many properties including equestrian, smallholdings, farms and prime residential dwellings require targeted marketing and national advertising chosen to suit each individual property. This allows freedom to focus on the target market and achieve the best possible price. If you have Prime or Country property that you are considering selling, contact your local office for further details.

Code for Sustainable Homes

bar

The Welsh Assembly Government has adopted the CODE FOR SUSTAINABLE HOMES (CSH) to ensure that sustainable development is implemented in all new dwellings in Wales. This means that if you are planning on building a new house you will have to submit a CSH with your planning application.

Since 1st September 2010 ALL planning applications for new residential dwellings must achieve code level 3 of the CSH. A home can be rated between 1-6 stars, with 1 being entry level and 6 being zero carbon.

The CSH is a recognised UK standard for key elements of design and construction of new homes and includes 9 design principles

  • Energy & CO2 emissions
  • Pollution
  • Water
  • Health and well being
  • Waste
  • Ecology
  • Materials
  • Management
  • Surface water run off

Assessments are carried out in 2 phases - an initial assessment at the design stage based on documentary evidence with an interim certificate issued, and a final assessment carried out after construction  based on site records and visual inspection.

Clee Tompkinson Francis
are licensed Code Assessors and we can advise on the necessary processes to obtain the required standards. We can also offer advice and guidance on how to achieve higher code levels and provide both “design stage” and “as built” assessments.

Our costs are competitive and we can guide you through this new compulsory requirement.
